Jakob Haves, Cooperation Partner
Personal background
I am an organisational consultant with a focus on strategy development and change processes. After studying political and social sciences with a focus on ‘Global Economic Governance’, I supported organisations in a corporate and political consultancy on transformations and issues relating to the future of work. I later took on management functions in an international mechanical engineering group – from setting up group-wide innovation management and coordinating co-determination work to strategy and business development in after sales. Today, I combine this experience with an organisational sociological perspective on organisations in transition.
Added value for the customer
I work with an organisational sociological perspective that helps to understand the actions of organisations from their own logic. This makes it possible not only to plan changes, but also to design them in such a way that they are compatible with structures, decision-making processes and informal dynamics. Together with my clients, I develop strategies and interventions that create orientation, make contradictions productive and open up space for genuine organisational learning.
My motivation
I am driven by the question of how organisations remain capable of acting in a complex world – and what it takes for people to be effective in them. I find it exciting to make different perspectives visible, to endure tensions and to create new opportunities from them. For me, good counselling means providing orientation – without providing simple answers.
