We once referred to her as “the queen of internal communication”. Today, numerous heirs to the throne are overshadowing the employee newspaper. However, a good employee newspaper is not swayed by this, because it knows its advantages and is aware of its loyal following. In order to reach the entire “entourage” and keep up with the times, even a queen has to change with the times. Has your employee newspaper gathered some dust? Are there still people who don’t listen to podcasts? This tool’s career is impressive, a media star rising out of a storybook. This is primarily due to the numerous facets of a podcast: It provides personal insights and perspectives, informs and entertains, surprises and emotionalizes, and creates closeness and connection. The fact that podcasts can be listened to regardless of time and place makes it an ideal tool for corporate communication. Would you like to use a podcast to position your management? Support you during a change process? Or use it as a cross-topic tool in your media mix? A podcast is a jack-of-all-trades and often makes sense – but only with the proper preparation. Blog

Do you want to position your CEO as a visionary mover and shaker? Or make the sales director more approachable? A blog is an ideal tool for conveying opinions, ideas and attitudes. Depending on the style and tone, closeness, motivation or empathy can be conveyed. A blog can also be used by several colleagues as part of the intranet, for example to introduce individual departments or to share knowledge cross-departmentally. However, before you start blogging, the sender, goals and target groups should be clarified, and the editorial team and plan should be in place. How should the blog be visually presented?
